Programs we participate in
We participate (or plan to participate) in affiliate programs offered by, including but not limited to: Booking.com, Hostelworld, GetYourGuide, Viator, World Nomads, SafetyWing, Genki, Wise, Revolut, Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Trusted Housesitters, iVisa, and others. We also receive commission on Amazon-linked products through the Amazon Associates Program when applicable.
How we make recommendations
Our recommendations are not paid placements. We rank products and services based on what we believe is best for the reader, considering price, terms, reliability, and fit for the use case being discussed. Affiliate commissions never determine rankings. When a non-affiliate or free option is the right answer, we recommend it.
How affiliate links are marked
We use the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute on affiliate links per Google’s guidelines. Links are not separately badged inline because doing so creates a worse reading experience — but every page that contains affiliate links discloses that fact at the top. If you’d prefer to avoid affiliate links entirely, you can search for the recommended product directly without using our link.
Sponsored content
If we ever publish sponsored content (a paid placement where the sponsor has editorial input), it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top of the article and will not be presented as part of our independent editorial. We do not currently publish sponsored content but reserve the right to do so under those terms.
