This page documents how GoAbroad.Travel produces, verifies, and updates content. We publish it because readers and search engines deserve to know.
Source standards
Every factual claim about visa fees, income thresholds, processing times, government policies, or currency-denominated amounts is linked to a primary source — embassy pages, official fee schedules, statute text, or government-published documents. Where a claim depends on a date, the date is included. Where a claim is our opinion or assessment, we say so.
Verification cadence
Every guide carries a “Last verified” date. We re-verify each page at least quarterly. When government policies change between cycles, affected pages are flagged and updated within days. Reader-reported corrections are fixed within 48 hours of receipt.
Editorial process
Articles are written by regional editors and reviewed by a second editor before publishing. Every article passes a fact-check pass that confirms primary sources are linked, dates are current, and any quoted figures match the cited source. Bylines reflect the editor responsible for the piece’s accuracy.
Use of AI in content production
We use AI tools to research, draft, and structure articles. All AI-assisted content is reviewed by a human editor against the source standards above before publishing. AI-generated text is never published without a verified, dated source for every factual claim. We do not use AI to generate fake author personas or fabricated testimonials.
Recommendations and rankings
When we recommend a product or service, we have either used it ourselves, examined the underlying terms (insurance fine print, banking fee schedules, etc.), or both. Affiliate revenue does not influence rankings. When a higher-paying affiliate option is worse than a lower-paying one, we say so. When a free option beats a paid one, we say that.
Corrections
If we publish something wrong, we fix it openly. Substantive corrections (changes that alter the meaning of a recommendation or factual claim) are noted at the bottom of the page with the date of the correction. Typos and minor formatting fixes are made silently.
